“We are happy with the victory. We played a great game until the 80th minute,” Vázquez said. “We lost concentration twice and suffered more than we should have. We didn’t deserve that ending after the game we played.”

Despite the win, Lucas Vázquez did not hold back in expressing his dissatisfaction with the current state of refereeing in La Liga.
He raised concerns about the increasing severity of yellow cards being issued for player protests.
He specifically highlighted a controversial moment involving his teammate Fede Valverde, who was booked for dissent in the third minute of the match.
“I think the referees are being too severe in handing out yellow cards for protesting. What Fede did in the third minute didn’t justify a card.
The other day, what Kylian [Mbappé] did was very soft,” Vázquez said.
The Spanish winger also pointed out the inconsistency in the handling of fouls and protests during the match.
“We received two yellow cards without committing a single foul, and they, with 10 fouls, didn’t receive any cards. I think it’s something that needs to be addressed, but I understand that things will improve.”
